Weekly Encouragement #5: You're Still Here

Weekly Encouragement #5: You're Still Here

Yay! You made it for another special edition of our Weekly Encouragement series!

Get ready for celebrate — this is all about YOU.

So maybe you've had a week like me:

feeling out of balance, off your game
tired beyond belief
tangibly feeling the pressure of everything you have to, just weighing on your shoulders

It's tough.

But guess what?

YOU'RE STILL HERE.

What? Let me say it again.

YOU ARE STILL HERE.

You did it!

That hard, tough week? You made it through that and are still here.

That deadline that seemed super impossible? You did that too; you're still here.

You thought that financial stress was going to crush you and break you in half? But it didn't, and you're still here.

If God is for us,
who can be against us?
— Romans 8:31b

Don't let anything or anyone tell you that what you've accomplished this past week doesn't matter.

That it was small in comparison to something else.

That it isn't that big a deal because "woop-de-doo, congratulations on doing what you're supposed to do."

Because none of that should water down the value of what you've done and the courage it took to make it.

No, in all these things
we are more than conquerors
through him who loved us.
— Romans 8:37

You are victorious.

You matter.

You count.

You have a place in this life + world, and it is yours to be amazing in.

Don't let anything try to convince your brain that none of what you're aiming for is for you.

That you're not meant to claim any of it.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life,
neither angels nor demons,
neither the present nor the future,
nor any powers,
neither height nor depth,
nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God
that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
— Romains 8:38-39

Don't let anything convince you that you're not where you're supposed to stand.

Doubt and fear and exhaustion will try to rob the joy behind your work, but you can't let that happen.

Fight back.

Claim what's yours.

Celebrate the little wins.

Recognize the support + the love that is God's grace.

Let the world know:

I'M STILL HERE.

Don't let yourself burn-out because of a lack of help and support. Acknowledge your limitations, celebrate your strengths and act accordingly.

If you haven't gotten a chance yet, please check out my die-hard book recommendation: The Enneagram: A Christian Perspective

Reading this book isn't so much about learning about myself, but about learning more on the needs and traits of the people in my life. If you love others (and yourself), understanding this tool is a path I invite you to walk.

The Enneagram: A Christian Perspective is a great place to start for anyone interested in going on this journey of self-awareness, healing, reflection, hope and grace.
