Weekly Encouragement #7: Something New
It is time again for ever-growing, ever-blooming Weekly Encouragement series!
I apologize for missing last week's post. It's been a chain of sick days for me lately, but here's hoping today is the beginning to the end!
Today's post will be simple and straight to the heart. May it fall like rain on ground that's ready to make something of itself.
There's something about sick or just physically uncomfortable that provokes a need in us to change.
After spending more than a week with ache around my teeth, I was quickly reminded that nothing pushes me out of my bad habits like pain.
Pain will force you to have the decisions you need to make, all out of a need to end it.
Decisions you've never made before.
Decisions you've been overdue in making.
I'm always thankful that I know at least someone who won't throw the stone due to my own personal stubbornness — aren't you?
That's all we need to remember.
No matter what could have been done.
What should have been done.
What you had no control over.
Nothing is ever the absolute end.
EVERYTHING is able to work out for our own good,
if we just relax, trust Him and move along one step at a time.
That's how change comes about.
That's how new things begin to grow.
Don't lose your head now. You're doing great.

If you haven't gotten a chance yet, please check out my die-hard book recommendation: The Enneagram: A Christian Perspective
The Enneagram as a tool is something God has used to help me not fear change as much, as well as to identify why I specifically might not always be comfortable with it.
The Enneagram: A Christian Perspective is a great place to start for anyone interested in going on this journey of self-awareness, healing, reflection, hope and grace.

Love you all. Love yourselves. Let your pain be used for your good.
